Through his architectural work, Thibaut DeGryse differentiates himself with standout design styles and methodologies. Signature details include strong geometry and deliberate selection of materials and themes to create a coherent narrative in each project. His portfolio is dynamic, having worked worldwide on a variety of designs: small- and large-scale buildings, city planning, office buildings, retail, residential, and more.

Honoring traditional architecture, DeGryse turns his visions into three-dimensional hand sketches as he works through ideas for a project. His unique style features sharp lines and strong geometry, and then translating those characteristics via precise material selections for each individual design that is unique to its environment. DeGryse believes it’s imperative to consider the site location as the design develops, utilizing natural light, sourcing local materials when possible, and generally appreciating the environment surrounding the area.

DeGryse’s extensive knowledge of architecture early in life brought him to study at the Politecnico di Milano. He worked as an architect at the esteemed Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW Architects) before moving to New York and spending 10 years at Meier Partners. In 2013 DeGryse became an architect for world-renowned architecture, planning, and design firm Peter Marino Architect prior to starting his own firm where today he designs for clients with a shared admiration for beautiful, exceptional structures.

Through DeGryse’s creative process, he works with clients to turn shared visions into reality. The respect and trust clients have for DeGryse stem from his inclusion of their input in the development stages of the project and a refreshing open dialogue.
